About Kat //

Kathryn Henry is an oil painter currently based in Holland, Michigan. Kat’s art currently focuses around the idea of empty homes being filled with light that seems almost alive. While painting in a realist way, she enjoys using intense colors to create mood and feeling through her work. Kat is very interested in subtly drawing emotion out of nothing. She is inspired by various artistic movements including the iconic Romanticism, Impressionist, and Rococo periods in addition to many other artists and people in her life.

When she isn’t painting, you can usually find Kat hiking, skiing, gardening, or thrifting. In May of 2021, Kat received her B.A. for Studio Art & Psychology from Hope College in Holland, Michigan.
